The Moon Boy Speaks

Diego Luna on His Gold Cup Performances

Diego Luna has won over the USMNT fans this year, especially with his Gold Cup performances. He said this tournament helped prove to people that he can play at a top level despite being in MLS.

Our take on the situation: Luna balled out in the Gold Cup, no doubt about it. But we need to hold our horses with the “top level” stuff. Scoring against Costa Rica and Guatemala isn’t top level.

Let Diego Luna Fly

Eric Wynalda Blasted MLS And Urged Diego Luna to Leave

Eric Wynalda recently revealed an interview he had with Diego Luna, where the player told him that his MLS coaches said he isn’t ready yet for Europe. Wynalda blasted those coaches and MLS in general, because he believes they are holding back players.

Our take on the situation: Wynalda is absolutely correct. MLS is not at the level to be developing top players. Luna is already 21, he needs a move to higher level.

The Return of a Legendary Club

New York Cosmos are Back

2026 is going to be a big year for American soccer with the World Cup. And now, New York Cosmos will also be making a return. They announced that they will be playing at the historic Hinchliffe Stadium and brought in Giuseppe Rossi as Head of Soccer.

Our take on the situation: This is brilliant news for American soccer and the USL. New York Cosmos are such a massive name and can still draw a crowd. It will be exciting to see how they do.

“He Will Go On to Do Bigger and Better Things.”

Tyler Adams Praised Paxten Aaronson

Tyler Adams was asked about one player that impressed him the most at the USMNT camp. He picked out Paxten Aaronson, and said he will go on to do big things in his career.

Our take on the situation: Paxten had a brilliant season at Utrecht and it looks like he was impressing in training too. So it’s surprising why he got so little playing time this summer. The USMNT could’ve used him.

USMNT Legend Isn’t Impressed with Mauricio Pochettino

Kasey Keller Calls Him Out for Not Being Committed

Mauricio Pochettino has been getting mixed reviews but Kasey Keller has made it clear about his feelings. He called out Pochettino for not being fully committed as he hasn’t spoken to many players and he doesn’t go out to watch games in person.

Our take on the situation: Keller has a point. Many USMNT fans have been calling out Pochettino’s behavior. Now someone says it on air. Let’s see if Pochettino take the job more seriously.
