  • Cristian Roldan speaks about wanting to make the World Cup squad.

  • Haji Wright speaks after scoring a brace for the USMNT.

  • Weston McKennie speaks about losing weight.

  • Robbie Keane on LA Galaxy Job.

  • Gareth Bale wishes he went to MLS earlier.

Let’s dive in!

“Pochettino has done a great job of making me feel confident and comfortable here.”

Cristian Roldan Speaks about Making the World Cup Squad

Cristian Roldan had assists for both goals as the USMNT won 2-1 against Australia. After the game, he told TNT Sports that Mauricio Pochettino has done a great job making him feel confident and comfortable. He is manifesting to be at the World Cup.

Our take on the situation: Roldan’s return to the USMNT hasn’t gone down well with the fans. However, he’s gotten a big praise from Pochettino and now, he is showing a good performance on the pitch. Let’s see if he can make the World Cup squad.

“I Believe in Myself.”

Haji Wright Speaks After Scoring a Brace for the USMNT

There has been a lot of talk on who should be the starting striker for the USMNT. And now, Haji Wright has also entered the conversation. He’s scoring goals for fun at Coventry and he’s doing it for the USMNT as well. He says he believes in himself, and praises his teammates for making it easy for him.

Our take on the situation: Wright is getting in form at the right time. He’s done so well to start the season at Coventry. Beating out Folarin Balogun to be a starter for the USMNT isn’t easy, but let’s see if Wright can manage to do it.

Is This Weston McKennie’s Best Shape?

Weston McKennie Speaks about Losing Weight

One thing people have noticed about Weston McKennie lately is how fit he looks. Kyle Marino told him this is the fittest he’s ever been and asked what the secret is. McKennie answered that his Juventus manager told him to lose weight or he won’t be involved with the team. So he’s been working out extra hard, got on a diet, stopped snacking, and is running a lot more.

Our take on the situation: It’s good to see McKennie in shape and is taking fitness seriously. He’s one of the most talented American players but his commitment has been questioned because he’s looked overweight. Now that he’s lost weight, he’s playing much better.

“I Never Say Never.”

Robbie Keane on LA Galaxy Job

Robbie Keane had a phenomenal stint at LA Galaxy as a player and won three MLS Cups. So it’s no surprise that now he’s been linked with a return to LA as a coach. He said he never says never but he has a job right now and he’s fully focused on that. He also said an offer from LA has to be really good with a full backing from the owners.

Our take on the situation: LA Galaxy won the MLS Cup last year but they’re now bottom of the Western Conference. So it’s no wonder they want the coach replaced and who better to take over than the Irish legend Robbie Keane? Let’s see if the owners go for it in the offseason,

“I Really Loved My Time Here, I Actually Wish I Came Over Earlier.”

Gareth Bale on His Time at LAFC

Gareth Bale moved to LAFC in 2022 and although he didn’t play much, he played a crucial part in winning the MLS Cup. He said he really loved his time in MLS and it was really cool to play in iconic cities around the U.S. The Welsh superstar wishes he went to MLS even before 2022.

Our take on the situation: Bale was still able to play at a high level during his last couple of seasons in Real Madrid but unfortunately, they had a fallout. If only he was in MLS instead of sitting on the bench at Madrid, it would’ve been really great for the league. But at least he came over eventually and still play a big role in the 2022 MLS Cup final.
